Founder of the Yeoman Gallery, Alex Cassidy, studied art and history at UCL and Cambridge University. In 2025, he transformed his experience in archival practices and a lifelong passion for art into his own business as a private art dealer.  

We specialise in contemporary illustration, particularly military and historical subjects, dealing mainly in original artwork by established and emerging artists.

Artists working in illustration create images for a wide range of commercial applications. But some original works have a life beyond their intended function as sources of reproduction. Our expertise lies in recognizing and curating original paintings by illustrators as fine art.

Building strong relationships with artists is central to our approach. We work directly with artists, supporting their practice while helping collectors discover exceptional contemporary pieces. This close connection allows us to share insights into artistic techniques and processes, enriching the experience for our clients.

We occasionally offer limited-edition prints produced in collaboration with the artists themselves. Signed and numbered, typically produced in short runs, these prints provide an accessible and affordable way into contemporary art ownership.

We handle individual sales and provide art advisory services to collectors and institutions on curated projects in both private and public settings.
