Alex Cassidy studied art and history at UCL and Cambridge. His experience in archival practices and a lifelong passion for art led him to found Yeoman Gallery in 2026.

We specialise in contemporary illustration — particularly military and historical subjects — dealing in original artwork by established and emerging artists.

Illustrators produce images for a wide range of commercial applications. But some original works have a life beyond their function as sources of reproduction. Our expertise lies in identifying and curating such works — originals by illustrators that repay close attention as fine art.

We work directly with artists, supporting their practice while offering collectors real insight into how a work was made — the research behind it, the techniques used, and the choices that shaped the final image.

We occasionally offer limited-edition prints produced in collaboration with the artists themselves. Signed and numbered, typically in short runs, these provide an accessible and affordable way into contemporary art ownership.

We offer individual sales and art advisory services to private collectors and institutions, including curated projects in both private and public settings. Whether you are buying original illustration art for the first time or building a broader collection, we can help match your interests with the right pieces.
