Collection: Marco Capparoni

Marco Capparoni was born in Rome, Italy, in 1993 and developed a passion for drawing and painting from childhood. After completing his studies at art college, he embarked on an international journey at nineteen, moving to the UK where he lived and worked for several years.

Seeking to expand his artistic horizons, Marco returned to Rome to attend a specialized school for Comics and Illustration Art. His educational journey continued with a move to Vienna, where he studied Fashion Illustration, gaining valuable experience abroad and broadening his creative perspective.

Marco's artistic interests span a diverse range of mediums and techniques. From plein air sketching using various materials to creating graphic novel art with inks, filling sketchbooks with doodles, and exploring sculpture and craft work, his versatility knows few bounds. However, his true passion lies in historical and military illustration, where he demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and atmospheric storytelling.

Throughout his career, Marco has successfully collaborated with clients across the UK, Europe, and America. His portfolio encompasses historically-focused projects including illustrations for board games, box art for war games, book illustrations, and concert artwork. His dedication to historical accuracy combined with artistic excellence has established him as a sought-after illustrator in the specialised field of historical and military art.

Marco now lives and works in Devon, where he draws inspiration from the region's rich historical heritage and stunning natural landmarks that surround him.
